Asia's Aerospace Excellence Hub

Asia's Leading MRO, Providing One-Stop Solutions

Singapore is Asia's leading one-stop provider of aircraft MRO solutions, contributing 10% of global MRO output. Supported by homegrown and multinational corporate partners, Singapore offers comprehensive "cradle-to-grave" services, including MRO services for all major engine platforms such as GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, and CFM International. With excellent connectivity and infrastructure, Singapore is also the ideal location for aerospace companies to establish regional distribution centers in Asia. The 320-hectare Seletar Aerospace Park integrates manufacturing, after-sales services, and R&D among other key activities.

Cutting-Edge Technological Capabilities

Singapore is also a reliable base for manufacturing mission-critical components such as engine parts and avionics. Leveraging strengths in MRO, precision engineering, and electronics, multinationals can produce the most complex components such as avionics computers and engine fan blades in Singapore, benefiting from strong intellectual property protection. Public-private partnerships are also thriving in Singapore, such as the Rolls-Royce@Singapore Airlines Engine Services-A*STAR Smart Manufacturing Joint Lab, which has collaborated with over 200 SMEs to develop and deploy new technologies in fan blade manufacturing and MRO facilities.

Robust Satellite Capabilities

Since 2011, Singapore has built and launched more than 30 small satellites and further enhances microsatellite capabilities through continuous collaboration with companies and research institutions, creating new space applications and services. Led by the Office for Space Technology and Industry (OSTIn), efforts are driving a vibrant space industry to seize the wide-ranging opportunities presented by emerging space trends.

High-Quality Talent

Singapore's talent pool is trained in a hands-on learning environment in tertiary institutions equipped with advanced facilities such as real aircraft, hangars, and flight and maintenance simulators. In the satellite industry, over 1,000 professionals are engaged across the full value chain, from space hardware design and development to sales and marketing, satellite service provision, and supply chain management. Singapore's aerospace and satellite industries boast more than 20,000 highly skilled and trained workers.
