2024 IMD World Talent Ranking: Singapore ranked second globally

September 19, 2024, IMD (International Institute for Management Development, Lausanne) released the 2024 IMD World Talent Ranking Singapore rose from eighth place in 2023 to second place globally 。

The ranking covers 67 countries and regions. Ghana, Nigeria, and Puerto Rico were included for the first time in 2024. The report also refers to the survey results of the International Labour Organization (ILO). The report points out that in economies where artificial intelligence significantly replaces human labor, social discrimination is often more common, which may weaken the attractiveness to highly skilled overseas talent.

In three assessment categories, Singapore ranked first globally in “Readiness” for talent development; “Investment and Development” ranked 22nd globally; “Attractiveness to talent” ranked fifth. Singapore's strengths lie in its ample supply of technical and highly skilled labor.
