19 August 2025,The future development plan for the Changi East Commercial and Leisure District has officially entered a new stage, with the Government launching a tender to invite proposals from relevant parties.

The Changi East Commercial and Leisure District is an important component of the greater Changi area, complementing existing facilities such as Changi Airport, Changi City Point, and Changi Resorts World. According to the plan, the district will integrate commercial, leisure, and lifestyle functions to create a diversified mixed-use development.

The development will introduce a variety of projects, including office, retail, dining, entertainment, and cultural facilities, with the aim of enriching the overall Changi ecosystem and offering new experiences for both residents and visitors. In the future, the district is also expected to become a key growth node in eastern Singapore.

To achieve sustainable and inclusive development, the plan places strong emphasis on green building design and the creation of public spaces, while encouraging the integration of innovative concepts to drive long-term vibrancy. Authorities stated that the tender not only represents an important step in implementing the long-term development blueprint, but also provides opportunities for private enterprises and investors to participate.

The designated planning area is located along the Changi waterfront, adjacent to East Coast Park and major transport hubs, offering a prime strategic location. The tender results are expected to be announced next year, which will further define the specific development direction and timeline.
